Writer Notes: Oh…I enjoyed making this one. It’s a good laugh. 😉
Warnings: regret, caressing, too good to be true, and some language
Killing people is easy, but dealing with two high strung girls is not. Not that Vaiden doesn’t mind a little girl-on-girl action, but not yelling and screaming about nothing. And it was nothing. He knew that women in general were hostile in protecting their territory, but Elvin women…yeeesh! Now he remembered why he didn’t like to be around them. The bitchiness never ends. And Lewej, well, she’s just getting started. However, Vaiden getting onto her for being a “fucktard” to Tatiana had really hurt her feelings and she calmed down.
But now she was moping and that pissed off Vaiden more than ever. A little of that was his fault though. He had brought these two girls together without any thought about girlish pride. Thank goodness the bitch powers hadn’t come out yet…yet being the word though…His regret was bubbling more than ever.
“Vaiden,” Tatiana poked her little head in. “Are you all right?”
His stomping off to his room to hide was just priceless, but cowardly. “Yeah…I’m…”
“You’re not ok.” she interrupted. “That was huge just now.”
Tatiana always revealing the obvious. It made him smile.
“I’ll be ok.” Vaiden then said.
She shook her head. “You always bottle yourself up. Will you ever let anyone in?”
“What is it to you?” he asked. “They’re my thoughts.”
“It’s not healthy to keep everything locked away.”
“I’m not ‘locking’ anything away. It’ll manage to come back up any way.”
“You’re such a pain sometimes.” Tatiana shook her head. “And you know it.”
He nodded. “More the reason for you to go away.”
“You’re not serious?”
“Dead serious.” Vaiden sighed. “I do value my alone time.”
“You just don’t know what to do with company time.” Tatiana laughed. “You really do have a problem with intimacy.”
Though he couldn’t find himself able to hiss at her and simple “no” slipped out. Her giggling continued.
“What?” he snapped. “No one’s perfect.”
“Why do I get the feeling you’re going to add an ‘even me.’ to that?”
“Because it’s true.”
“Self-absorbed, that’s what you are.” Tatiana claimed.
“No, but get out.” Vaiden replied.
She didn’t get out. She got closer to him.
“Ever heard of facing your fears?” She was so close that he could smell the mint gum that she chewed constantly.
“Tatiana…I said…” his breathe unsteadied.
“You still want me to go?” she asked still in whisper.
“No.” he said, but then quickly shook his head. “I mean yes. Go.”
Tatiana smiled. “Even you have a weakness, Vaiden.” she laughed.
“I’m glad you find it entertaining, but…”
He raised her with his arms. “I said get out.”
However, with her at a higher angle, she could bend down more. “So you’re afraid? That’s what it is.”
“I’m not scared of anything.” he snapped.
“Aren’t you though?” she asked caressing his cheek.
His hands stopped pushing her away, but instead pulled her forward. “No. I’m. Not.”
“Prove it then.” she barely said, her lips becoming closer and closer to…
“WHAT THE FUCK!!!”
