Warnings: bored Elf likes moving things around, newspaper, impatience, rudeness
Tatiana thought she had heard a bunch of furniture moving.
“He’s gone crazy.” Lewej said. “Just leave him be.”
Tatiana smiled and hurried into the bathroom to freshen up. She hadn’t slept very well that night. Alot of things were on her mind. How things were going at the firm, what her clients must have thought about her absence…and strangely, if her mom had called. She spent most of the time at work figuring out an excuse not to talk to her parents. They didn’t like her job, said it would get her into trouble. Ironically, and surprisingly, they were right. Who knows what supernatural will do when someone has upset them.
Tatiana looked at herself in the mirror. Well, with a little eyeliner, no one would notice the dark circles.
“You two are quiet.”
The Elves looked at each other.
“Come on,” Tatiana smiled. “What’s up?”
Lewej shook her head. “You better show her before she has a cow.”
“Be nice.” Vaiden hissed.
“Show me?” Tatiana questioned.
Vaiden sighed and looked up at the girl, but didn’t directly look at her eyes. “To the kitchen.”
“You might be fascinated with the cover story.”
“Why in the world would I be interested in the news?”
“Misplaced Stream Woman Missing; Elf Suspect” said the headline. Tatiana eyes widened with every word she read.
“No,” she shook her head. “They think you…kidnapped me, or worse.”
“Yeah that’s a problem.” he muttered.
“How, though, how did they know you grabbed me?”
“I’m sure the Vampires have insiders everywhere.”
“What-the-hell do we do now?” she asked.
“Lewej has thought of an idea.” Tatiana narrowed her eyes with suspicion. “She has agreed to be civil about this.”
“Well…because I’m in danger as well.” He took a step back. “She’s in the bathroom waiting for you.”
Two hours later…
“You are worse than a bride on her wedding night.” Lewej shook her head.
“It’s my bathroom.” Vaiden growled. “It better not be a mess.”
“Oh, I thought you were worried about someone…I mean, something else.” she smiled.
Vaiden just shook his head.
“You know,” Lewej began. “She likes you.”
He side glanced at the Elvin girl.
“I mean as a person. She thinks you’re ok.” Lewej laughed. “There must be something wrong with her.”
“Do you think the Vampires broke her head?”
“Leave her alone.”
