Writer Notes: Alternate Universe Book 2 is ago! I hope you all enjoy this and the actual “Book 2” thread as well. 😉 It’s got some nice insight on the new world.
Warnings: sneakiness or so they think, talk of wicked punishments, court case, and just generally inserting Vaiden’s booty in the right picture because I know that’s what you all want.
“Eww, there’s grass all over me!”
“Hurry it up, will ya?”
“Hey, now, did you practice picklocketing all summer? Now shush!”
“Do you see anything?”
“No…come on, over here.”
“See you in a bit.”
“Hello, young lady.”
“You’re in so much trouble.”
“What were you girls thinking?” Tatiana asked angrily. “Sneaking out like that. Did you not think we would find out?”
“Out of all things, girls.” Tatiana shook her head. “You know better.”
“And you’re both grounded for a month.”
“But Mom,” the twin to the right whined. “We just wanted to have fun!”
“Dahlila,” Vaiden interrupted before Tatiana could speak. “I don’t care if you were going to help the elderly get out of bed. You cannot just go do anything without our permission. We are your parents.”
“Sorry, Dad.” Dahlila bowed her head.
“And what do you have to say for herself, Delania?” Tatiana asked.
“Yeah, I’m sorry too.” she replied quickly.
“I hope you both think about what you have done.” Tatiana said. “For all your father and I could have known, you could have been kidnapped!”
Tatiana stood. “I expect you two to be very smart from now on. If you step out of line one more time…”
“We know, we know.” Dahlila said. “Boarding school…”
“I’m thinking military school now.” Vaiden added.
“Owwww.” the girls whined.
“Now off to bed, for real this time.” Tatiana commanded.
“And I will be burning those outfits!” Vaiden claimed. “So don’t even think about hiding them!”
“For a minute there, I thought you were going to slip.” Tatiana said. “But thanks for adding the military school. That was hilarious.”
“I was actually serious about that.” Vaiden frowned.
“But how was your day besides all of this?” Vaiden asked, taking his wife’s hands.
She shrugged. “Despite our fears, the prosecuter is going to take the Feline case to trial.”
“He’s the young guy, right?” Vaiden asked. “He’ll learn sooner or later that he can’t win against you.”
“Oh?” Tatiana smiled. “After twenty years together, have you?”
