Vaiden and Thanksgiving

Writer Notes: Posting this early for all to enjoy.  These are actually the remade Simmies: Lewej, Tatiana, Vaiden, and Zarah throughout this episode.

Warnings: aggravated Human, saying thanks, real or unreal Vampire, and holiday season crazinessesssess

Tatiana spent over 9 hours working on this feast, setting the table, and cleaning up her mess as she went.  Lewej addition to the Thanksgiving feast was pouring her own glass of red wine.  Vaiden, on the other hand, did absolutely nothing.

Before Vaiden said anything, Tatiana scowled.  “Do not dare say anything about it, Vaiden!” she said.  “We’re having this meal and that’s that.”

“I was going to say, ‘It looks spectacular,’ but never mind.”

Tatiana shook her head.  “Sorry, the holiday season makes me crazy.”

Lewej say back and watched them exchange apologies.  It was a little astonighsing that Vaiden did apologize, but evidently he had noticed how hard Tatiana had been working.

Her efforts weren’t without notice.

The Elves really didn’t understand this holiday of Thanksgiving, but they appreciated at least one day during the year you could stuff your face with a fantastic feast.  It was all that mattered to them.

“I haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving since…” Tatiana inhaled sharply the slowly exhaled.  “I suppose since I was little.”

“What made you decide to celebrate it now?” Vaiden asked.

Tatiana shrugged.  “I don’t know. I guess I needed a reason to fully test your kitchen.”

“What do you mean test it?” he questioned.  “It works. What more do you need?”

“A great atmosphere, food preparation room, stuff like that.”

“Riiiight.”

“Well, are we going to eat or what?” Lewej asked.  “My wine is warming as we speak.”

Tatiana rolled her eyes.  “Sure.” she said.  “Let’s begin.”

“Let’s give thanks.”

“Thanks?” Vaiden asked.  “You’re joking right?”

“Ooh, is this when we go around the table saying who and what we’re thankful for?” Lewej asked.

“Well, yes.” Tatiana replied.

Vaiden growled.

“Be good.”

Tatiana went through the usual thanks: food, good health, being alive, and such.

Lewej thanked the gods for eye candy, expensive shoes, and her conditioner.

“I’m thankful for…” Vaiden paused for a moment.  “The 9mm under the table, the bat by the counter, the shotgun in my closest, and the gernade beside the toilet. Amen.”

“Vaiden!” Tatiana laughed.

“That was so rude.” Lewej shook her head.

“I thought it was wonderful.”

“Zarah?”

“What the hell are you doing here?”

“Who are you talking to?” Tatiana asked.

“I don’t know, the Vampire named Zarah.”

“Zarah?” Lewej questioned.  “There’s nobody here, but Tatiana and me.”

“No, she’s sitting right there!”

“Aw, my poor Elf,” Zarah smiled.

“Vaiden, you’re playing with us. Aren’t you?”

“No, no, no!”

“Seriously, Vaiden, you could have come up with a better joke than Zaran’s here.” Lewej said.

“No, she’s right there!”

“The holiday season has officially bombarded Mr. Vaiden Zarren.” The girls laughed.

“Why me?”

    LMAO!!!

That is a wonderful looking feast by the way. I am so impressed with your decorating skills!

    • Eh, I try. The turkey goes in the middle and the place settings go with the chairs. Everything else you just try to fit on the table. Actually, I almost had to take everything down and put it on a counter because my Simmies looked crowded, but I said oh well. 😉

Vaiden’s house is complete, by-the-way. Now I have to make the rest of the Vampires and Jen the Serial Killer and her servant Marcie Marr…and all of their houses and torture chambers. [sigh] Lots to do.
